Cymatics is the study of visible sound vibration, and how sound affects humans. Music is an intangible force, yet can be captured in the digital realm and visualized in 2D waveforms. Cymatics proves that everything perceived as hard objects (including our bodies) are actually continuously vibrating at their own rates. Merging the fields of sound, geometry, light and mathematics into one, breathtaking images are created by the frequencies found in our bodies, nature and beyond.

ELUDEM is a Los Angeles-born abstract artist composing his own unique audio & visual geometry. The 25-year old producer merges divergent sound textures, angular beats and soothing themes to form new modal phenomena. Patterns emerge in ELUDEM's instrumental collages of driving frequencies & dense sonic vibrations, revealing zero points where vibration does not exist. 'FILMS FOR THE MIND' [HNR89], is the triumphant 11-track master work to inspire & squire a future generation of sound designers. Available on stunning multi-colored 12" vinyl, and housed in a one-of-a-kind screenprinted cardboard jacket featuring art created by ELUDEM.

Rare test pressings, collector's versions and cassette tapes also available.

Initially I wasn't super impressed by this, but it turns out that the album takes an extraordinary through a wide variety of avant-garde hip hop approaches.
